Special Events for Today

Teen Workshop: Exploring Gender and Race Relations in Contemporary Art (in collaboration with MOCA)
Teens ages 14-18 can sign-up for this Women on the Rise two-hour workshop on an early release day from public school to explore the intersection of gender and race relations in contemporary art. Led by MOCA facilitators they will create their own works of art while learning about the perspectives that key contemporary artists have explored through their work. Teens will work in gender-specific teams of 15 – boys will explore the work of Kehinde Wiley and girls will explore the work of Shoshanna Weinberger. Following the workshop teens will have time to explore the RACE exhibition. Workshop included with regular Museum admission. Limited space available for 15 boys and 15 girls.

Time: 1:30PM – 4:30PM
Location: Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science

Ticket price includes entrance to all Museum galleries, Planetarium shows, the Wildlife Center and special demonstrations and shows.
